Privacy
Folio is run by James Lewis ("I", "me"). This policy explains what personal data I collect when you use Folio, why, and the rights you have over it. Last updated: October 2026.
James Lewis, trading as Folio, is the data controller — the person who decides how and why your personal data is used. You can reach me at any time at randientservices@gmail.com.
Depending on how you use Folio, I may collect:
Your generated website and purchase status are also stored in your own browser's local storage so your work survives a page refresh. This stays on your device and is not sent to me.
I only share data with the people and services needed to run Folio:
I do not sell your personal data to anyone.
I keep your data only as long as needed: purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, support messages while they're relevant to helping you, and technical logs for a short period. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your personal data, to object to how it's used, and to withdraw consent where consent was the basis. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email me at randientservices@gmail.com and I'll respond within one month.
I use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit and restricted access — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable care with what you trust me with.
Folio uses your browser's local storage to remember your generated site and purchase status. This is strictly necessary for the service to work — I don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
